We are very pleased to announce the upcoming 2011/2012 season of the New Jersey Flute Society, and to extend you an invitation to become a member in this, our 3rd season!

The New Jersey Flute Society, established in 2009, is dedicated to promoting excellence in flute performance and providing an encouraging environment for students, amateurs, and professionals alike. Established as a non-profit organization, the NJ Flute Society has been chartered to cultivate the creative spirit and growth of flutists at all levels of proficiency by providing a program of workshops and guest performances, as well as collaborative member performances and networking opportunities. 

So whether you are an amateur or a professional, or somewhere in between, the 2011/2012 NJ Flute Society season should prove to be an exciting and rewarding one. On September 9, 2011, we will be kicking off our first event of the season with a fund raiser and meet and greet at the Atlanta Bread Company in Madison, NJ from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.   This is a great opportunity to get to know other flutists in the society and find out how you can volunteer.  The society is expanding and is in need of volunteers to offer their services.  Members of the board will be there to speak to you about our organizational needs.

We will have our calender for 2011/2012 at this meeting.  Upcoming events include masterclasses by David DiGiacobbe, Robert Dick and Susan Milan, performances by John McMurtery, section flutist with the New York City Opera, and Flutatious and much more!
